How To Start And Stop The Remote Control Vehicle Engine?

Due to the small size most RCVs do not have starting mechanism and require being push started. To do this switch the ignition to the 'On' position and push the vehicle forwards placing a little pressure on it and it should start quickly.

Stopping the engine requires you to catch the vehicle while it is moving and push the ignition switch to 'Off' and the engine should stop. Another alternative can be to choke the engine using your finger to block the intake manifold thus depriving the engine from oxygen but caution should be observed before attempting this since the manifold may be hot from all the driving.

The most recommended way is to operate the vehicle until all the fuel has run out. This is advised since it is best to store your vehicle on a dry tank. The main reason for this being that nitro fuel tends to vanish if stored in the tank for a long time leading to unwanted problems later. Another method is where the user estimates how long a tank of fuel will run and brings the vehicle to the ground before the fuel runs out and lets it run dry while on ground.

Success in using RCV depends on the dedication you invest towards learning and maintaining your vehicles and remaining open minded to learning from your mistakes. Just like many other hobbies operating RCV is more an art than a hobby and many hours must be invested to main perfection in the hobby.
